When we're creating JIRA Tickets
When reproducing an export error in which the client is going to receive an email notification (that's basically any time you click Export to Excel), we need to create a temporary AL staff account (First name "America Learns", Last name "Support"). Email is: support@americalearns.net.
- You can assign the account to the comparable "Additional Main Admin" staff role.
- Please always delete or archive these accounts when you're done.
When filing a Jira ticket
A video is great, but we need the written replication steps as well.
Broadly, please try to follow this template:
Synopsis of Issue: Write a quick summary of the issue.
Program Name: NAME OF PROGRAM (PID#)
User: Name of user, account type (Manager, Submanager, or Volunteer), userID
Video: link video if relevant
Replication Steps -
- List the exact steps
- the engineers will need to take
- to replicate the issue
